Sydal

between bodies: two figures embracing in loose strokes of blue, red and pink.
Final Form: a figure peeling off its skin on a deep blue ground.
Untitled (Couple, black and white): a man biting his sleeve beside a startled woman.
Fifth Season: a large abstract canvas of vertical drips in turquoise, magenta, orange, violet and yellow.

Still discovering what comes next.

Statement

Painting is less about explaining an idea and more about creating something that makes you stop, look, and feel.

I’m Sydal, an emerging artist based in Athens, working primarily with acrylic on canvas.

My work is driven by instinct, curiosity and a constant need to experiment. I don’t follow a single style or aesthetic; each piece begins differently and develops its own identity through colour, texture and emotion.

For me, painting is less about explaining an idea and more about creating something that makes you stop, look, and feel, even if you can’t immediately explain why.

This collection reflects an evolving practice, where every work is part of the process of discovering what comes next.
